A welcoming atmosphere was felt right from our arrival, with very friendly staff ensuring all our needs were met. The food was a highlight, especially the homemade muffins, which were delightful. Our room was clean and comfortable, perfect for enjoying the beautiful surroundings. noise during early mornings was a slight downside, and I wished for a more extensive vegetarian breakfast option to suit all preferences. I wish we could have stayed longer.

The room featured a cozy, high-ceiling design with elegant dark wood that added character. It offered a good selection of real ales at the bar, and the beds provided a comfortable sleeping experience.
Noise from upstairs and the kitchen below made it tricky to unwind after long walks, especially with sound carrying through the building. The food left much to be desired. breakfast scrambled eggs were overcooked and uninspiring, and dinner choices didn’t meet expectations for the area's dining options. A recent painting project in the evenings intruded into nighttime peace, catching me off guard. Some decor feels outdated, especially the bathrooms, which could use a refresh.
